If you want to dive in caves, the caves of Sant Guillem (more popularly known as “Cuevas de Punta Rasa”), are the perfect choice: they are not very deep, it is a very easy dive and are suitable for Open level.
Punta Rasa underwater caves
The underwater caves of Punta Rasa are an attraction for all those divers who come to Formentera and have never dived in a cave.
The Punta Rasa caves offer the experience of diving inside a cave without worrying about dangers, needing an advanced level, or being afraid to enter a small and reduced space: These are very shallow caves with a very wide entrance, which delight divers of all levels.
However, in order to enter the cave it is necessary to have a flashlight, which is mandatory for orientation.
What you will see in the Punta Rasa caves
The caves of Punta Rasa do not offer a large amount of life, as it can be for example in the case of other dives such as the Espardell Platform, but you will have the opportunity to see some shrimps and groupers that take refuge inside the caves.
The interior of the caves has two air pockets (caverns) that allow you to breathe without the regulator and enjoy the vault by pointing your flashlights towards the ceiling.
